Une Fraise de Carpentras, ©John O’Grady 2013
Oil on Panel, 5″x 7″
You know spring has arrived in this part of the world when the strawberries from Carpentras
appear in the market. They are some of the first to be sold in France and they just taste so good…
This strawberry is a Clery variety bought in the market of Vaison La Romaine.
Painted in the cool colours of morning light, I used a neutral background to showcase the gorgeous reds.
I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoyed the strawberry!
Looks good enough to eat…..yum
they are really tasty, love to you both xx
