Take me to the Island, ©John O’Grady, 2013
Oil on Panel, 6″x 6″
I used a subdued palette of muted greens and red browns to evoke calm and stillness
when you look across the lake on a warm evening as the last light fades on water.

When I saw ‘Take me to the Island’ I thought – yes please! I felt drawn to the quiet stillness which evokes the end of long Summer days which end peacefully. The pin holes of light through the trees create flashes onto the water. Tremendous – love it.
I am glad you like it Chris and thanks for the lovely comment
