This painting is a continuation on the theme of ‘Mountains’.
The composition is similar to the previous painting on this blog though this one is warmer and the light is different.
When the sun is setting across the bog in the autumn, it fills you with awe as bog and mountain glow with a reddish gold colour. It is warm and rich and beautifully contrasts with the blue of the sky which has a tinge of green in it.
The air is fresh and clean for the day might have held rain.
I hope you enjoy the painting and I’d love to hear what you think.
Your pieces continue to amaze me. In addition, I can’t believe how prolific you are.
Hello Ginny,
I am glad to hear they are capturing your imagination, as for the prolific part, well I just keep turning up each day and hopefully it comes together. That doesn’t sound like much of a plan does it! but I think the turning up part is the secret, don’t you?
Thank you for your comment’
Hello John, I love the shadowy light effects of the feathery clouds and the gorgeous rich colours. I always seem to find interesting textures in your paintings too – they are fascinating and full of atmosphere.
Hello Christine,
Thank you for your comment, I am glad you responded to the colours, it’s what I most took pleasure in with this piece and captures maybe the light of evening.
