Beautiful painting! I really like the dark-light contrast and subtle variation in brushstroke. And the palette.

Absolutely lovely John! I think this may be my favourite of your skies but it is the colour contrast, texture and light reflected in the wet landscape that I like best of all.

John, this is such a marvelous result of using what is essentially a rather restrained (but gorgeous) palette. Great visual and emotional impact; wonderful depth of field; and very skillful and expressive brushwork. You convey the effects of light and reflected light so eloquently.
