Description

The Wild Atlantic Way hugs the west coast of Ireland. Travelling along, you notice how beautiful, rugged and of course wild it is.

On that day I remember, rain clouds were rising over distant headlands like mighty sculptures dwarfing the land below.

To start with, the weather was fine but soon, it turned from fine rain to mist to downpour and back to a bright autumnal day.

Each change was captivating. Each change brought its own palette. Each change brought its own mood.

This painting captures one of these episodes when the sea turned clear turquoise and the large pink cumulus showed its might behind the headland.
