In Provence, the custom for the Christmas meal is to have 13 desserts on the table.
Sent on a mission to buy one of them, nougat made by a reputed artisan in Sault,
a town on a plateau near Mt Ventoux, we encountered the first snow.
This is a view of the Mt Ventoux on the way back.
This painting has a nostalgic feel, for me. Even though I have never been to that part of the world there is something about the colours that takes me back.
